3DMark99 Max Pro Benchmarks

3DMark 99 Max isn't used much anymore, seeing as 3DMark2000 is out now. But, I decided to test it as it still does some things that are useful, and many old benchmarks use it as well. Check it out.

Viper II Z200 / 3Dmarks

  16-bit 32-bit
640x480 4,117 4,128
800x600 4,128 4,132
1024x768 4,139 4,140
1280x1024 3,974 3,286

As you can see, the Viper2's fillrate of 500Mtexel's helps out a lot. It doesn't even take a performance hit until 1280x1024! However, the scores were low for a next-generation card. We should be seeing ~55-60fps.

Viper II Z200 / Fillrate (Mtexels/second)

  16-bit 32-bit
640x480 216.8 150.4
800x600 232.3 157.8
1024x768 235.2 155.4
1280x1024 239.1 150.2

Viper II Z200 / Fillrate w/ Multitexturing

  16-bit 32-bit
640x480 480.8 394.4
800x600 503.6 418.2
1024x768 522.6 425.2
1280x1024 534.3

423.3

The fillrate's are simply awesome. I don't know why it drops off in 32-bit color..? Driver glitch maybe? Oh well. Let's move on to 3DMark2000!
